CapMed’s PHR empowers consumers, enabling them to actively manage their personal health information with easy-to-use solutions

NEWTOWN, PA, May 19, 2008 – CapMed, a division of Bio-Imaging Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: BITI), a leader in Personal Health Management Solutions, announced today it has been named the winner in the Personal Health Record Systems category for its Personal Health Record (PHR) application at the TEPR (Towards the Electronic Patient Record) 2008 conference.  CapMed’s icePHR Mobile, an in-case-of-emergency PHR, was also a finalist in the Hot Products category.  TEPR takes place this week in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. 

 

This is the fourth time that CapMed’s PHR has been honored at TEPR, having received top honors in 2001, 2006 and 2007, every year the category was offered.  CapMed’s Personal Health Management Suite offers consumers several options for the storage, management and sharing of health information.  Consumers can track medications, graph lab values, store medical images, import health data from a variety of electronic sources, set and receive reminders and create reports, including a wallet-sized emergency card.
